This study aims to examine the concept of internalizing Islamic values from the perspective of learning psychology. The study is motivated by the importance of Islamic education in shaping students’ character and moral awareness amid increasingly complex social and technological developments. The research employed a qualitative descriptive literature study by analyzing various relevant books and scientific journals. The findings indicate that the internalization of Islamic values is a process of value inculcation involving cognitive, affective, and conative aspects in an integrated manner. From the perspective of learning psychology, the internalization process is influenced by learning experiences, role modeling, habituation, social environment, and students’ emotional involvement in learning activities. Behavioristic, cognitive, humanistic, and constructivist learning theories contribute to explaining the mechanism of religious behavior formation among students. The internalization of Islamic values is not only intended to develop theoretical religious understanding but also to shape Islamic attitudes and behaviors in daily life. Therefore, Islamic education requires contextual, humanistic, and character-oriented learning approaches to ensure sustainable moral development.
