<![CDATA[This study aims to explain the use of the Snakes and Ladders game in improving students’ speaking skills at Tanjung Jati 2 Elementary School, as well as to analyze a comparison of students’ speaking skill levels before and after the implementation of the Snakes and Ladders game in the learning process. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a single-group pretest-posttest design. The population studied in this research consists of fifth-grade students at UPTD SDN Tanjung Jati 2. The research sample consists of 19 students in one class. Data were collected through interviews with the classroom teacher, speaking ability assessments, and documentation in the form of photographs of learning activities. Speaking ability assessments were conducted by evaluating aspects of stress, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Based on the results obtained, the students’ pretest average score was 71.79, while the posttest average score reached 84.00. This indicates that the average posttest score was higher than the average pretest score. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the critical t-value, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, the use of the Snakes and Ladders game had a significant effect on the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at UPTD SDN Tanjung Jati 2.]]>
