Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools still faces various challenges, particularly the low level of students’ learning interest and self-efficacy, which results in less optimal engagement in the learning process. This study aims to describe students’ self-efficacy and learning interest and to examine whether there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and learning interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 112 Pacciro, Bone Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students totaling 20 students, and a saturated sampling technique was used, in which all members of the population were taken as the research sample. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of 20 items for each variable. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26. The normality test was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk test, while hypothesis testing was carried out using correlation analysis. The results showed that students’ self-efficacy was in the moderate category with a percentage of 60%, and their learning interest was also in the moderate category. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the calculated r-value (0.769) was greater than the r-table value (0.4438), indicating that there is a significant and strong relationship between self-efficacy and learning interest in PAI. This finding implies that the higher the students’ self-efficacy, the higher their learning interest.
