<![CDATA[Low Adversity Quotient among students is characterized by a tendency to give up easily, poor self-control when facing difficulties, and low responsibility in dealing with problems. This condition may hinder students’ academic and social development. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of group guidance using the Self-Instruction technique in improving junior high school students’ Adversity Quotient. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants were eight students with low Adversity Quotient scores based on the pretest results. Data were collected using a 36-item Adversity Quotient scale and analyzed through descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, and the N-Gain test. The findings showed that the average Adversity Quotient score increased from 62.67% in the pretest to 76.57% in the posttest. The Wilcoxon test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.012 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. These results suggest that group guidance using the Self-Instruction technique is effective in improving students’ Adversity Quotient.]]>
