This study aims to describe the implementation of modified learning aids assisted by a digital stopwatch in improving basic athletic movement skills among upper-grade students at SD Negeri 138 Palembang. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through non-participant observation during physical education sessions, semi-structured interviews with physical education teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The subjects of this study were upper-grade students and physical education teachers at SD Negeri 138 Palembang. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of modified learning aids (such as modified cones, plastic hurdles, and cardboard boxes) combined with a digital stopwatch successfully enhances students' physical activeness, motivation, discipline, and basic athletic movement skills (running, jumping, throwing). The digital stopwatch provides immediate visual and quantitative feedback that encourages a healthy competitive spirit among students. However, challenges such as managing large class sizes and adapting to varied student motor skill levels remain. In conclusion, the descriptive qualitative evidence shows that this approach serves as an effective, practical, and engaging alternative for elementary school athletic instruction.
