<![CDATA[Indonesia boasts a high degree of ethnic and linguistic diversity, which poses challenges for communication and the strengthening of national identity. Since the 1928 Youth Pledge and as enshrined in Article 36 of the 1945 Constitution, the Indonesian language has played a vital role as the language of unity. This study aims to re-examine the strategic role of the Indonesian language in strengthening national integration and identity amid the challenges of globalization and the digital age. Using a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review, the data were analyzed using content and discourse analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Indonesian language has successfully served as a tool for national integration that bridges differences without erasing local cultures, and functions as a symbol of national identity and an instrument of legal certainty. Although facing challenges such as the proliferation of languages in digital media, the Indonesian language holds significant potential through internationalization. Therefore, preserving and prioritizing the Indonesian language through education and digital literacy is an absolute necessity to uphold national sovereignty.]]>
