This study is motivated by the importance of language style in the writing of tourist destination descriptions in digital promotional media, particularly on the SIDITA website of the East Java Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The use of language in tourist descriptions serves not only to convey information but also as a promotional tool to attract tourists. This study aims to examine the use of stylistic elements including standard language, informal language, and metaphors in the writing of tourist destination descriptions. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach based on Keraf’s stylistic theory. The research data consists of four tourism destination description texts on the SIDITA website namely Mount Bromo, Pantau BOOM, Ijen Crater, and the Angkut Museum analyzed during the website’s publication period from 2025 to 2026. Data collection techniques involved reading, note-taking, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the use of standard language tends to be informative, clear, and easy to understand, but feels formal and somewhat stiff. Colloquial language is more familiar, communicative, and effective at capturing readers’ attention because it creates a closer connection with tourists. Meanwhile, the use of metaphors can create an imaginative impression, but it can also make the information less clear. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of language style in the description of tourist destinations needs to be adapted to the objective
