This study aimed to describe the growth and development of second-grade students at SD Negeri 14 Koto Lalang based on physical, cognitive, language, and socio-emotional aspects. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted directly during the learning process, while interviews were carried out with the classroom teacher to obtain information regarding students’ development. The findings showed that most students experienced development appropriate to their elementary school age stage. In the physical aspect, students demonstrated good motor development. In the cognitive aspect, students were able to follow instructions and understand learning materials through concrete examples. In terms of language development, students began to actively express opinions and answer questions, while in the socio-emotional aspect, students were able to cooperate and interact well with their peers. However, some students still required guidance in reading skills and self-confidence when speaking in front of the class. Overall, a supportive learning environment and teacher guidance had a positive influence on students’ development.
