<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the personal experience writing skills of fourth-grade students (Class IVC) at SDN 028 KUBANG JAYA, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau, through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model. The background of this study is the low writing ability of students, characterized by difficulties in expressing ideas, constructing sentences, and using punctuation correctly. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with 35 research subjects consisting of 26 male students and 9 female students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and writing tests. The research instruments included observation sheets, interview guides, and writing skill assessment rubrics covering aspects of content, paragraph structure, vocabulary use, language use, as well as spelling and punctuation. The results indicate that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model significantly improved students' writing skills. Students became more active, creative, and confident in expressing their personal experiences in written form. The learning process, which included determining topics, creating writing outlines, drafting, revising, and presenting work, encouraged students to understand the stages of writing systematically. Furthermore, a collaborative learning environment and the teacher's role as a facilitator also contributed to the improvement of students' writing skills. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model can serve as an innovative learning alternative to enhance writing skills in elementary schools.]]>
