<![CDATA[This classroom action research aims to improve the learning interest and conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject at UPT SDN 060883 Medan Petisah through the implementation of the Picture and Picture cooperative learning model. This research used the Kemmis and McTaggart classroom action research design, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 27 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation sheets, learning interest questionnaires, and concept understanding tests, and were analyzed descriptively and with SPSS. The results showed that the average score increased from 63.21 (pre-cycle) to 81.48 (cycle I) and 90.96 (cycle II), with classical mastery increasing from 40.74% to 81.48% and 96.15%. The percentage of students with high and very high learning interest reached 88.46% at the end of cycle II, exceeding the 75% target. It can be concluded that the Picture and Picture cooperative learning model effectively improves both learning interest and conceptual understanding of IPAS among fifth-grade students.]]>
