Mental health represents a crucial element that affects individuals' capacities for thinking, managing emotions, engaging socially, and carrying out everyday tasks. Adolescents, as people going through developmental changes, are particularly susceptible to various mental health issues that can impact their academic performance and social interactions. The objective of this study was to portray the mental health status of students in class X DKV-3 at SMK Ketintang Surabaya through the General Health Questionnaire-28 (GHQ-28). This research utilized a quantitative technique with a descriptive framework. The sample consisted of 30 students who participated in mental health assessment activities. Data collection was carried out via the online distribution of the GHQ-28 questionnaire through Google Forms. The gathered data were examined using descriptive statistics and sorted into normal and problematic groups. The results indicated that 24 students (80%) were categorized as having normal mental health, while 6 students (20%) were identified as facing mental health challenges. The most prevalent concerns identified were anxiety, sleep disturbances, social dysfunction, somatic complaints, and signs of depression. These results suggest that while the majority of students exhibit good mental health, some require additional attention and support. The outcomes of this study can serve as a foundation for establishing preventive and therapeutic guidance and counseling services that cater to students' requirements.
