This study aims to identify the learning interest of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Tabur in the subject of Craftsmanship (Prakarya). The researcher conducted observation procedures and interview techniques to examine the implementation of video-based group learning activities in the Craftsmanship subject, as well as the level of interest among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Tabur, Berau, involving one class with a total of 26 students as the research subjects. The use of visual media successfully stimulated students’ enthusiasm for learning and produced various innovative food products, as the process of preparing vegetables became easier for students after they carefully observed the instructional videos presented by the teacher during classroom sessions. Internet network access limitations emerged as the main operational challenge during the implementation process. Therefore, this issue serves as an important basis for evaluation by the school and instructional media developers in order to improve the quality of learning in the future
