<![CDATA[Adolescence is a developmental stage characterized by significant changes in physical, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. One condition that may influence adolescents' emotional development is living separately from their parents. Such separation can occur for various reasons, including educational demands, parental employment, or other family-related circumstances. This study aims to explore the emotional dynamics experienced by adolescents who live apart from their parents from the perspective of Attachment Theory. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this study. The participants consisted of nine adolescents who had experienced living separately from their parents for different periods of time. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings revealed that during the initial period of separation, most participants experienced various emotional responses, including sadness, longing, loneliness, and feelings of worry. Over time, however, they gradually adapted to their circumstances and demonstrated positive personal growth, such as increased independence, maturity, and improved emotional regulation. The study also found that the quality of communication between adolescents and their parents played a crucial role in maintaining emotional well-being. These findings indicate that emotional bonds that remain intact despite physical distance can help adolescents cope with developmental challenges more effectively.
