<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the significance of differences in critical thinking skills of children aged 5-6 years through contextual learning in science nature hunt activities. The focus of the study was directed at the aspect of Critical Thinking Skills which includes children's abilities in providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making further explanations, strategies and tactics. The sample in this study amounted to 15 children (TK B) at TK Pembina 1 Medan selected through Purposive Sampling technique with the criteria of children in the class who are active and diligent in attending school. This study used a quantitative approach with a One Group Pre-test-Post-test design and data collection techniques through observation sheets. The results showed that the average critical thinking skills of children increased from 20.6 in the pre-test to 36.9 in the post-test. This increase also occurred in every indicator of critical thinking skills. The indicator with the highest achievement was interacting with others with an average value of 3.8, while the indicator with the lowest achievement was focusing on questions with an average value of 2.8. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value <. 001 showed a significant difference in the critical thinking skills of 5-6 year old children through contextual learning in a science nature hunt activity.]]>
