<![CDATA[This study examines digital communication strategies in instilling national defense values among Generation Z in the digital era. The main issue discussed is the declining spirit of nationalism among young people due to the uncontrolled flow of digital information such as hoaxes, disinformation, and the strong influence of global culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze digital communication strategies in strengthening national defense values, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and explain the role of digital media in shaping national awareness among Generation Z. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach. Data were obtained from scientific journals, books, and relevant academic documents published in the 2021–2025 period. Data analysis techniques used content analysis through the processes of grouping, comparison, and interpretation of literature findings to produce comprehensive conclusions. The results show that social media such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are effective tools for delivering national defense values when presented in creative, interactive, informative, and visual content that matches Generation Z characteristics. Digital media also enables the wider, faster, and more participatory dissemination of national messages, thereby increasing youth engagement. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, the spread of fake information, opinion polarization, and strong global cultural influence remain major obstacles. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy, improving the quality of educational content, and enhancing collaboration between government, educational institutions, communities, and society are necessary to support the success of digital communication strategies in fostering nationalism, strengthening national identity, and increasing awareness of national defense among Generation Z in a sustainable, adaptive, and inclusive manner in Indonesia.]]>
