This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among fifth-grade students at SDN 19 Tualang, which were attributed to the predominance of conventional teaching methods that had not optimally developed students' conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the deep learning approach on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 19 Tualang. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students at SDN 19 Tualang, totaling 50 students. A saturated sampling technique was applied, resulting in 25 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, and Independent Samples t-test analyses. The findings revealed that the experimental class's mean score increased from 56.60 on the pretest to 80.00 on the posttest, while the control class's mean score improved from 54.00 to 74.40. The hypothesis testing yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.024 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the deep learning approach has a positive and significant effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 19 Tualang.
