<![CDATA[This article examines online gambling in the perspective of Islamic law and its impact on household harmony, with a case study of divorce caused by slot gambling addiction in Bogor Regency. The study uses a qualitative literature review approach by analyzing the Qur’an, Hadith, classical and contemporary fiqh sources, and relevant academic literature. The findings show that online gambling is classified as maysir, which is strictly prohibited in Islam because it involves speculation, uncertainty, and brings about social and moral harm. In the case analyzed, the husband’s gambling addiction caused severe financial loss, misuse of the wife’s identity for online loans, and the breakdown of family trust. From the perspective of Islamic law, the wife’s divorce petition is justified because the marriage has produced clear harm, including neglect of financial obligations, deception, and damage to family well-being. Therefore, Islam offers a holistic solution through spiritual strengthening, family communication, community guidance, and legal protection.]]>
