This research is motivated by the low understanding of students on Cartesian coordinates material indicated by difficulties in determining point positions, reading coordinate pairs, and distinguishing abscissas and ordinates. This condition results in low student learning outcomes on Cartesian coordinates material. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the Coordinate Treasure Map media as an interactive learning media in improving the understanding of Cartesian coordinates in sixth grade elementary school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were 24 sixth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Liliefors normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results of the study showed that the average pretest score of 64.54 increased to 80.21 in The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 6.12 > t_table = 2.07 which indicated a significant increase in understanding after the use of the media. The N-Gain analysis obtained a value of 0.40, categorized as moderate or quite effective with a percentage of 40%. The results of the questionnaire and interviews showed that students responded positively to the use of the media because it was able to increase motivation, activeness, and ease in understanding the concept of coordinates. Thus, the Coordinate Treasure Map media was effective in improving the understanding of Cartesian coordinates in sixth grade elementary school students.
