Children with special needs often pose a challenge for parents, especially during the acceptance process, which is often fraught with emotional stress such as sadness, worry, and confusion. Therefore, knowledge support and psychological and spiritual empowerment are essential. This can be achieved through Islamic parenting psychoeducation, which helps parents understand parenting patterns while strengthening emotional and spiritual aspects based on Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the process of parental acceptance before and after psychoeducation and its impact in Siman Village, Ponorogo. The method used was a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques in the form of semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation of two parents of children with Down Syndrome and meningitis. Data were analyzed inductively with triangulation to maintain data validity. The results showed that before psychoeducation, parental acceptance was still unstable and was in the emotional adaptation stage, characterized by rejection, anger, and worry. After participating in Islamic parenting psychoeducation, parental acceptance significantly improved, becoming more stable and adaptive, characterized by emotional calm, a sincere and patient attitude, a more positive outlook on children's potential, and a more compassionate parenting style. This enabled parents to better understand their children's needs, manage their emotions, and encourage their independence in daily life.
