The STEAM approach is considered capable of developing creativity, critical thinking and problem solving skills in 21st century students. This study aims to comprehensively determine the level of teacher readiness in implementing STEAM learning tailored to the characteristics of primary school students and to identify teachers' understanding of the basic concepts and principles of STEAM, particularly in the context of cross-disciplinary integration in science learning. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The research subjects involved were seven primary school teachers located in Serang Regency. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire. The results showed that teachers' perceptions were very positive towards the implementation of STEAM, as teachers had a good understanding and were able to apply project-based learning and problem-based learning models that involved the integration of various disciplines. The STEAM approach as capable of stimulating active student involvement. The use of media reflects a new approach to designing contextual learning experiences. One of the challenges faced by teachers in implementing STEAM is in lesson planning, such as the preparation of evaluation tools. Therefore, continuous support in the form of professional training programmes is needed to support the implementation of STEAM learning on an ongoing basis.
