Abstract

Volleyball is a sport that requires mastery of basic techniques to support effective team performance. Basic techniques such as passing, serving, smashing, and blocking play an important role in determining players’ performance quality. This study aimed to analyze the basic techniques in volleyball based on previous research findings. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from national and international journal articles published through Google Scholar. The results showed that basic techniques are the main foundation in volleyball games. Passing functions to build attacks, serving initiates play, smashing is used to score points, and blocking serves as defense. Mastery of basic techniques is influenced by training, physical condition, motor coordination, motivation, and learning methods.
