This study aims to examine the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students' religious development at SD Negeri 187 Tompobulu, Bone Regency. It also investigates the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the implementation of these strategies, as well as the solutions adopted to overcome the identified challenges. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research design. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The collected data were analyzed using three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that PAI teachers implement various strategies to strengthen students' religious development. These strategies include establishing an Islamic school culture, implementing school policies requiring students to perform the Dhuha and Dhuhr prayers before returning home, cultivating honesty and responsibility through daily habituation, promoting good moral conduct by providing exemplary behavior, delivering moral messages at the end of each lesson, and guiding students in adapting positively to the school environment. The successful implementation of these strategies is supported by a well-structured Islamic school culture program, strong collaboration between the principal and teachers, teachers' commitment to serving as positive role models, the integration of religious values into daily school activities, and the incorporation of religious character development across all subjects. However, several challenges remain, including environmental influences, the impact of globalization, students' internal characteristics, and limited parental and community support for school-based religious development programs. To address these challenges, the school has strengthened communication between teachers and parents through WhatsApp groups, encouraged collaborative efforts to raise students' awareness of the negative impacts of the misuse of science and technology, and reinforced positive religious habits as part of the school's culture. These efforts contribute to creating a supportive environment for students' religious character development.
