Marine capture fisheries production is an important sector that contributes to economic growth and improving the welfare of coastal communities. Marine fish as a relatively affordable source of animal protein has a continuously increasing demand, thus creating economic opportunities for fishermen, traders, and fishery product processing businesses. In Ambon City, fishing activities are supported by various types of fishing gear, such as beach seines, purse seines, gillnets, lift nets, hohate (pole and line), trolling lines, jal, bamboo, and sesok. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of fishing households, the number of boats, and the number of fishing gear on the volume of capture fisheries production in Ambon City during the period 2020–2024. The methods used include linear regression analysis, Pearson correlation, and scatter plots to examine the relationship between variables. Data were processed using the SPSS application and productivity index calculations. The results showed that the calculated F value of 1127.872 was greater than the F table of 6.59, so the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected. Thus, the number of fishing households, the number of boats, and the number of fishing gear have a significant influence on the volume of capture fisheries production in Ambon City.
