<![CDATA[The utilization of local feed ingredients as functional feed sources has the potential to improve egg quality in laying hens; however, farmers’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills regarding their utilization remain limited. This community service activity aimed to analyze farmers’ responses to extension on the utilization of Eucheuma cottonii and Lumbricus rubellusas feed ingredients for laying hens. The activity was conducted in May 2025 in Awangpone District, Bone Regency, involving 25 members of the Barae Farmer Group selected using purposive sampling. The extension was conducted through two meetings using individual and group approaches, supported by lectures, discussions, leaflets, and audiovisual media. Evaluation was conducted using pretest and posttest questionnaires measuring knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The questionnaire consisted of 15 items and had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the posttest knowledge score reached 86%, representing an increase of 37.2%, while the skill score reached 81.8%, with an increase of 36.6%. The attitude score reached 82.4%, with an increase of 31%. These results indicate a positive response from farmers and improvements in their knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding the utilization of E. cottonii and L. rubellus as feed ingredients for laying hens. Research-based extension can serve as an approach for disseminating feed innovations to farmers.]]>
