<![CDATA[Maxillary sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses located near the cheekbones, often caused by bacterial or viral infections or allergies (Al Fessi, 2025). Surgery for sinusitis aims to alleviate patient symptoms; therefore, it is indicated for patients presenting with complicated symptoms (Fahrizal, Arini Nashirah, Lambang Rizki Perwira Awaludin, 2022). A 2019 study conducted at the Rhinology Division of the ENT-Head and Neck Surgery Department at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, found that the proportion of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) cases among adults was 33.3%. This study employed a case study method focusing on the care of a post-operative maxillary sinusitis patient experiencing issues related to ineffective airway clearance and acute pain. Data collection involved interviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, utilizing a nursing care documentation format. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive approach. The case study identified nursing diagnoses of ineffective airway clearance and acute pain. The intervention plan incorporated various methods, including both independent and collaborative interventions. Following the development of the intervention plan, the planned actions were implemented. An evaluation conducted on the third day showed that the patient's airway clearance had improved and the acute pain had been partially resolved.]]>
