<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the management and development of the library collection at the Library of Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas University (UNISSAS). A library collection is one of the most important elements in supporting learning, teaching, and research activities in higher education. Therefore, proper collection management and continuous collection development are needed so that the information provided can meet the needs of users. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the Head of the Library. The interview results showed that collection management at the UNISSAS Library includes the processes of collection selection, procurement, inventory, classification, cataloging, circulation services, maintenance, and evaluation. Collection development is carried out by considering the curriculum, recommendations from lecturers, requests from students, and the availability of the library budget. However, the library still faces several challenges, including limited funding, the increasing need for up-to-date information resources, and the limited availability of digital collections. The study concludes that the management and development of the library collection have generally been implemented well, but improvements are still needed, especially in expanding digital collections, increasing the procurement budget, and strengthening cooperation with other libraries to improve the quality of library services and better support academic activities at UNISSAS.]]>
