Antenatal care is the second pillar in Safe Motherhood which is a means for pregnant women to be more prepared in facing childbirth. The main cause of unpreparedness of pregnant women for childbirth is the lack of knowledge of childbirth preparation such as donor preparation, costs, health insurance, and anxiety towards childbirth. Knowledge and preparation for childbirth are everything that is understood and prepared in terms of welcoming the birth of a child by pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of flip chart media on increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about childbirth preparation in the Buaran Health Center area, Pekalongan City. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest posttest design research design. The study population was adolescent girls in Pekalongan City, the sampling technique used a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in knowledge in pregnant women before and after being given health education on childbirth preparation using flip chart learning media (significance value 0.000 (p value <0.05). Pregnant women are expected to be more active in seeking information about childbirth preparation not only through health workers but also through social media such as the internet, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and others.
