<![CDATA[Used cooking oil is a form of household waste frequently discarded indiscriminately—whether onto the ground or into waterways posing risks to both the environment and public health. Group 149 of the University of Bengkulu’s 108th Community Service Program (KKN) in Siring Agung Village, Kelam Tengah District, Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province, conducted training on producing aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil as a means of household waste management and community empowerment. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach utilizing a literature review method, complemented by practical training activities in the field. The training covered raising awareness about the hazards of improper used cooking oil disposal and demonstrating the production process: purifying the oil with activated charcoal, blending it with paraffin, adding colorants and essential oils, inserting the wick, molding, and cooling the candles until ready for use. The results indicate that participants understood the dangers of improper disposal and gained the ability to independently produce aromatherapy candles. This program not only contributes to reducing environmental pollution caused by used cooking oil waste but also enhances community skills and creates opportunities for the creative economy by repurposing household waste previously considered useless]]>
