This study aimed to identify the key factors associated with student attrition in the BSED Mathematics program. Data were collected through an online Likert-scale questionnaire from 201 participants, consisting of graduates, shifters, and dropouts from BSED Mathematics programs across different higher education institutions in the Philippines. Participants were selected using Convenience Sampling technique. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted to identify the underlying factors associated with student attrition. The analysis revealed four key factors: academic factors, curriculum and instruction, economic factors, and personal factors. These factors accounted for 54.27% of the total variance, with factor loadings ranging from 0.413 to 0.783. The findings suggest that student attrition in BSED Mathematics is influenced by multiple academic, curricular, economic, and personal factors. The identified factors may serve as a basis for developing and evaluating appropriate student-retention strategies in mathematics teacher education programs.
