MUSIC EDUCATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS: STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT TO OVERCOME RESOURCE CONSTRAINTS The research aims to formulate strategies for music education in the face of resource constraints so that schools can overcome the limitations. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The strategy formulation procedure refers to the stages shown by Rothwell and Kazanas. Data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, and FGD is then analyzed through phases, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-making. Testing the validity of the data is done using triangulation. The strategy offered based on the findings of the researchers are: 1) Following competitions/activities related to the field of music involving students (GBN Audition, FLS2N, Musicalization of Poetry, Festival of Arts and Culture); 2) Conducting concerts/activities relating to the area of the Arts of Music with the involvement of students and parents of students to continue to strengthen the relationship between school and parents; 3) Engaging in cooperation with institutions/colleges that have music arts study programs related to learning collaboration between schools and colleges; and 4) Organizing extracurricular activities related in the fields of music, such as bands, music ensembles, traditional music.
