<![CDATA[Background: Traditional markets play a crucial role as food distribution centers, but they also have the potential to become sources of environmental pollution and disease transmission if they do not meet sanitation requirements. The Ministry of Health conducted an environmental health analysis in 2017 of 448 traditional markets in 28 provinces. The results showed that only 10.94% of markets met environmental health standards, while 89.06% remained below the standards. Purpose: To analyze the implementation of the Healthy Market Program through aspects of market sanitation, security, and environmental health control. Method: This study used a qualitative approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews and direct observation at Angso Duo Baru Market in Jambi City in 2026. Results: While environmental sanitation and water quality met requirements, food safety, and facilities and buildings still did not meet standards. Regarding environmental security, waste and liquid waste management did not meet regulations, as indicated by the inadequate condition of the wastewater treatment plant (TPS) and the lack of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Regarding control, there was no structured vector control program, and rats, cockroaches, and flies were still found in the market area. Conclusion: The implementation of the healthy market program at the Angso Duo Baru Market in Jambi City has not fully met the standards of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 17 of 2020, so comprehensive and sustainable improvement efforts are needed.
