Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using illustrated storybook media on elementary school students' reading ability. The type of research used is qualitative research through literature studies by gathering information sources from previous studies. Research results show that there is a significant effect on the use of illustrated storybook media on students' reading abilities. Illustrated storybooks are able to attract students' attention so that they are happier and more enthusiastic about studying. Illustrated storybooks can also develop students' imaginative skills and narrative understanding.
