<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the scope of Social Studies (IPS) learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) or Elementary Schools (SD) based on the National Curriculum applicable in Indonesia. Using library research methods, this study collects and analyzes various literature sources such as curriculum documents, textbooks, scientific journals, and laws and regulations related to elementary education. The results of the study indicate that the scope of IPS learning in MI/SD covers four main dimensions, namely aspects of geography, history, economics, and sociology which are integrated thematically and contextually. IPS learning at the elementary level is directed at instilling national, social, and citizenship values from an early age through an active and meaningful learning approach. The National Curriculum emphasizes the development of basic competencies and strengthening the character of students according to age development and socio-cultural environment. This study recommends the need for the development of adaptive teaching materials and ongoing teacher training to optimize the achievement of IPS learning objectives in MI/SD.]]>
