This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using motion animation media in optimizing the fundamental movement competence of elementary school students. Fundamental movement competence is an essential skill that supports students’ physical development, coordination, and readiness to participate in physical education learning activities. However, learning processes that are still dominated by conventional methods often make it difficult for students to understand the correct forms of movement and reduce their motivation to engage in learning activities. This research employs a quantitative approach with an experimental method involving elementary school students as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation and fundamental movement competence tests conducted before and after the implementation of motion animation media in the learning process. The collected data were then analyzed to determine the level of improvement in students’ movement competence after the use of the media. The results indicate that the use of motion animation media has a positive and effective impact on improving students’ fundamental movement competence, with an effectiveness level of 78%. This improvement is reflected in the increased scores of movement competence tests, higher learning motivation, and better student understanding of the movements being learned, indicating that motion animation media can serve as an innovative, engaging, and effective alternative learning medium to enhance the quality of physical education learning in elementary schools.
