<![CDATA[This study is a qualitative descriptive research that focuses on the analysis of archaic vocabulary in Hikayat Hang Tuah II. The research is directed at identifying the forms of archaic words, classifying their lexical categories, and determining their equivalents in modern Indonesian. The data consist of archaic vocabulary found in the text of Hikayat Hang Tuah II. The data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, then classified based on word forms, lexical categories, and their equivalents in contemporary Indonesian usage. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman Model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research instrument involved the researcher as the primary instrument, supported by a data analysis table as a secondary instrument. The results show that the representative data in this study consist of 66 archaic words categorized into several groups: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and function words. In addition, each archaic word has an equivalent in modern Indonesian, which helps in understanding the text contextually. These findings indicate that the analysis of archaic vocabulary in Hikayat Hang Tuah II not only provides insight into the linguistic characteristics of classical Malay literature but also contributes to Indonesian language learning and the preservation of regional language and literature.]]>
