Abstract

This study aims to determine the skills and quality of writing literary criticism essays of Study Program students of Indonesian Language and Literature education based on a mimetic approach. The method used is a qualitative method. The techniques used in this study are: (1) literature review, (2) observation, (3) documentation techniques, and (4) analytical techniques. The research data was obtained based on the students writing sheet about the literary criticism essay of the novel "MemangJodoh" by MarahRusli. Analysis sheet based on the assessment scale of literary criticism essay quality with checklist as an instrument. This research instrument was arranged based on (1) content (ideas expressed), (2) content organization, (3) grammar, (4) style: choice of structure and wealth of words, (5) spelling, (6) linking work with reality , (7) linking works with writers, (8) linking works with readers, (9) involving scientific disciplines. Furthermore, student writing is read and assessed based on the predetermined rubric. The results of the study showed that overall the ability and quality of writing in the students literary essay critics were found to be of medium standard with a mean of 2.06.

Abstract

This study describes the language fluency of teachers of SMP Negeri 3, Sinaboi District, Rokan Hilir Regency in learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The object of this study is the teachers speech in the learning process. The theory used is pragmatic, based on the context of the follow-speech utterances, and politeness based on the premise Leech who viewed politeness from the standpoint of the hearer and not from the viewpoint of the speaker based on six maxims of politeness. The results showed that the speech teacher at SMP Negeri 3 Sinaboi District of Rokan Hilir in learning shows (1) the maxim of wisdom, that teachers are always (a) reducing the profit himself and (b) to maximize the advantages of students in learning activities; (2) the maxim of generosity (generosty maxim), namely the teacher respects students; (3) the maxim of appreciation, namely the teacher (a) does not mock, (b) interrupts each other, or (c) does not demean students; (4) the maxim of simplicity or humility, that is, the teacher is humble by reducing praise for oneself; (5) the maxim of agreement, namely teachers to foster compatibility with the students, and (6) kesimpatisan maxim, namely teachers maximize sympathy to their students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research aims to analyze the syntax errors on writing essays to 25th practical literature participants in academic year2017 at FKIP University of Riau. It used qualitative descriptive. Source of research data obtained based on the collection of essays writing from participant contests. The data was taken from the language syntax errors analysis between phrases to phrase and clauses to clauses. The researcher used documentation as the technique such as reading collection of essays, classifying error analysis of language syntax, and analyzing the essays of participants. The pproceduress were: (1) selecting the language corpus, (2) identifying the errors in the corpus, (3) classifying the errors, (4) explaining the errors, and (5) evaluating the errors. There were 38 data with errors on phrases which include the addition of phrases in the object (B+S) were 15 data, the addition of words from or about in the phrase objects (B+B) were 3 data, the additional of words to Work in phrases (passive K+K) were 12 data and errors on the clause, and the additional of the preposition words between verbs and its object in clause were 8 active data. Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Bentuk Leksikon Bahasa Prokem dalam novel Koala Kumal Karya Raditya Dika. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk leksikon bahasa prokem dalam novel Koala Kumal Karya Raditya Dika. Metode dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan teknik studi pustaka. Pengumpulan data-data dilakukan dengan langkah langkah 1) membaca seluruh isi novel koala kumal karya Raditya Dika. 2) mengidentifikaasi kata-kata yang mengandung bentuk leksikon bahasa prokem yang terdapat dalam novel koala kumal. 3) mengklasifikasikan setiap kata-kata yang mengandung bentuk leksikon bahasa prokem dalam bentuk tabel identitas data.  Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1) mengidentifikasi data sesuai dengan bentuk leksikon.2) mengklasifikasikan data berdasarkan bentuk dan proses pembentukan leksikon. 3) menganalisis setiap data yang sudah diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan proses pembentukan leksikon bahasa prokem. 4) membuat kesimpulan mengenai bentuk dan proses pembentukan leksikon bahasa prokem. Sumber data penelitian dari novel koala kumal karya Raditya Dika. Berdasarkan hasil  penelitian mengenai bentuk leksikon bahasa prokem dalam novel koala kumal karya Raditya Dika, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk leksikon bahasa prokem yang banyak ditemukan adalah  bentuk leksikon polimorfemis.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu ditemukan penggunaan disfemisme dalam berita kriminal pada surat kabar Tribun Pekanbaru dan Riau Pos. Tujuan teks ini menelaah perbandingan penggunaan disfemisme dalam berita kriminal surat kabar antara Tribun Pekanbaru dan Riau Pos. Adapun manfaat yang dicapai penelitian ini terbagi atas dua yakni teoritis, dan praktis. Definisi operasional dari penelitian ini merupakan persamaan dan perbedaan penggunaan pengasaran bahasa antara yang terdapat dalam berita kriminal surat kabar Tribun Pekanbaru  dengan berita kriminal pada surat kabar Riau Pos. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang menggambarkan data deskriptif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis kualitatif menggunakan metode analisis konten. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. Bentuk disfemisme yang terdapat pada berita kriminal surat kabar Tribun Pekanbaru dan Riau Pos yaitu kata, frasa, klausa dan ungkapan. Fungsi penggunaan disfemisme terdiri dari sembilan fungsi. Perbandingan penggunaan disfemisme pada kedua surat kabar dilakukan berdasarkan bentuk dan fungsi penggunaannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menerapkan metode pemodelan dalam pembelajaran untuk mengukur kemampuan menulis paragraf prosedur siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 11 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis statistik inferensial. Rancangan penelitian yaitu prates dan postes satu kelompok. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes essai. Hasil penelitian kemampuan menulis paragraf prosedur siswa kelas XI IPS 1 pada prates berkategori rendah, kemampuan menulis paragraf prosedur siswa kelas XI IPS 1 berdasarkan peringkat skor pada prates tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan, penerapan metode pemodelan dalam pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring terdapat beberapa kendala namun dikategorikan cukup baik dengan bukti adanya perubahan, kemampuan menulis paragraf prosedur siswa kelas XI IPS 1 pada postes berkategori tinggi, kemampuan menulis paragraf prosedur siswa kelas XI IPS 1 berdasarkan peringkat skor pada postes tidak ada perbedaan, kemampuan menulis paragraf prosedur siswa kelas XI IPS 1 berdasarkan hasil prates dan postes terdapat perbedaan rata-rata, prates 93,5 dan postes 558,2.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of ability to understand anecdotal texts, and determine the differences in the ability to understand anecdotal texts per class, X grade students of Riau Taxation Vocational School. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study amounted to 92 people and the samples obtained using the Slavin formula were 75 people. The data collection technique used the essay test technique. The test is in the form of questions about understanding the structure and messages in anecdotal texts. The data analysis technique used the Normality Test through the Lilifors Test. Then rhe Chi Square Test of one sample to determine the category of students understanding ability. Kruskall-Wallis test to determine the ability of students per class. The conclusion is that the ability to understand anecdotal texts of class X students of Riau Tax Vocational High School is categorized as very low and there is no difference in the ability of students of class X of Riau Tax Vocational school.Key Words: Understanding Ability, Anecdotal Text, Class X Students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis implikatur percakapan dan fungsi implikatur percakapan yang terdapat dalam film pendek Tilik karya Ravacana Films. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan-tuturan antartokoh yang mengandung implikatur percakapan dalam film pendek Tilik. Berdasarkan data disimpulkan bahwa jenis implikatur percakapan yang terdapat dalam film pendek Tilik ada dua jenis, yaitu implikatur konvensional dan implikatur nonkonvensional. Kemudian disimpulkan terdapat lima fungsi implikatur percakapan, yaitu asertif, direktif, ekspresif, komisif, dan deklaratif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang afiksasi verba bahasa Melayu Riau Subdialek Semelinang Tebing Kecamatan Peranap Kabupaten indragiri Hulu. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah afiksasi verba bahasa Melayu Riau subdialek Semelinang Tebing Kecamatan Peranap Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana proses penambahan imbuhan atau afiksasi verba dalam bahasa Melayu Riau subdialek Semelinang Tebing Kecamatan Peranap Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sumber data adalah penutur asli bahasa Melayu subdialek Semelinang Tebing dengan cara menyadap percakapan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Semelinang Tebing ketika beriteraksi dan berkomunikasi, baik itu di rumah, warung, lapangan volly dan ketika arisan. Hasil analisis dari afiksasi verba bahasa Melayu Subdialek Semelinang Tebing Kecamatan eranap Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu terdapat rincian masing-masing data yakni, (a) prefiksasi sebanyak 78 data, (b) sufiksasi sebanyak 3 data, (c) konfiksasi sebanyak 7 data. Keseluruhan data dari penelitian tersebut adalah 88 data.

Abstract

This study was a step toward the creation of an e-module to creat flips book-based exposition texts for junior high schools. The purpose of this study was to offer an examination of students' demands when creating exposition papers. A survey was used for the investigation. The data for this inquiry was gathered through a questionnaire. In this study, a Likert scale was utilized to examine students' attitudes, opinions, and perceptions of the built electronic module. This research made use of a checklist-style questionnaire with a range of assessments of 1 to 5. The questionnaire was distributed to students from four junior high schools. This sampling technique was based on the sampling quota established by the researcher. The data analysis technique involved converting the category value into an assessment score and examining the result. According to the findings, 61.5% of students had difficulties in interpreting the material of exposition text, and the rest of 80.1% desired that the exposition text writing content be presented using entertaining, interactive, and innovative learning methods. This showed the need for the preparation of electronic modules for writing flip book-based exposition texts.
