This study aims to determine the implementation of discipline and control in improving the performance of teaching staff at SMP IT Shohwatul Is'ad Pangkep. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that discipline and control are implemented through the implementation of attendance rules, punctuality, academic supervision, monitoring of learning administration, coaching, and teacher performance evaluation. This implementation has a positive impact on improving the performance of teaching staff, especially in the preparation of learning tools, the use of learning methods and media, and the implementation of learning evaluations. Supporting factors in this study include the principal's commitment, cooperation between teachers, and a conducive school culture, while inhibiting factors include the lack of consistency of some teachers in complying with the rules, limited learning facilities, and suboptimal work motivation. Thus, the implementation of discipline and control carried out consistently can improve the performance of teaching staff and support the improvement of the quality of education in schools.
