<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low ability to write observational report texts of class X TKP students at SMK Negeri 1 Purworejo, especially in organizing ideas, systematically structuring texts, and using appropriate linguistic rules. This study aims to describe the improvement of the learning process and the ability to write observational report texts through the application of the Mind Mapping strategy. This research is a classroom action research carried out in two cycles, including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 35 class X TKP students at SMK Negeri 1 Purworejo in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, interviews, writing tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Mind Mapping strategy can improve the quality of the learning process, which is characterized by increased interest, motivation, activeness, and involvement of students. In addition, student test results also improved, particularly in content organization, idea development, text structure, and sentence coherence. Therefore, the Mind Mapping strategy is effective as a learning alternative to improve observational report writing skills.]]>
