This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' numeracy skills through ethnomathematics learning based on the traditional Galah Panjang game which can be used as a more contextual and meaningful source of mathematics learning. The type of research used is quantitative research with a pretest-posttest one group design. The subjects of the study were 33 fifth grade elementary school students. Data collection used a numeracy ability test in the form of multiple choice questions that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using the N-Gain test to determine the level of improvement in students' numeracy skills. The results showed that there was an increase in students' numeracy skills as indicated by the average pretest score of 56.36 increasing to 72.58 in the posttest with an N-Gain value of 0.44 which is included in the moderate category. These results indicate that ethnomathematics learning based on the traditional Galah Panjang game can be used as an alternative learning that is able to improve students' numeracy skills and provide a more meaningful learning experience through cultural integration in mathematics learning.
