<![CDATA[This study aims to identify and analyze the connotative and denotative meanings in the song lyrics of "Di Tepi Lamunan" and "Aku yang Engkau Cari" by Maudy Ayunda, featured in the soundtrack of the film Para Perasuk, using Roland Barthes' semantic perspective. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques involving repeated reading and listening to the lyrics to understand both the linguistic and emotional contexts. The analysis was based on Barthes' concept of signification, namely the first-order meaning (denotation) and the second-order meaning (connotation). The results show that the two song lyrics are interconnected, depicting the psychological condition of humans. In terms of denotative meaning, both songs present a physical chronology moving from ritual activities to unconsciousness toward a calmer point. Meanwhile, the connotative meaning depicts a form of soul healing associated with values of emotional intimacy and freedom in relationships. These findings confirm that song lyrics function not only as entertainment media but also as a means of reflection that represents popular cultural views on emotional relationships. Such relationships are not always formally bound but possess a deep meaning.]]>
