<![CDATA[As an audiovisual medium, the film Turning Red has great potential for conveying character values to children, particularly at the elementary school level. The use of films in learning can help students understand life values in a more contextual and engaging way. One important character value to cultivate is self-confidence, which plays a role in shaping a child’s personality. This study aims to examine the meaning of self-confidence portrayed in the film Turning Red and its relevance as a learning medium in elementary schools. This study employs a qualitative method with a content analysis approach, where data is collected through observations of scenes and dialogues in the film. The results indicate that there are various rich meanings of self-confidence, such as self-acceptance, the courage to express emotions, and resilience in facing social and cultural pressures. These values are strongly linked to character education for elementary school-aged children, particularly in fostering independent and resilient individuals. Thus, the film Turning Red can be utilized as an effective learning medium to instill the value of self-confidence in elementary school students.]]>
