The limited use of innovative learning media causes low science learning outcomes in elementary schools. This study aims to develop the Valdako media “Visual Nature in a Box” that is valid, practical, and effective to improve learning outcomes on the material of natural and artificial features for third-grade students at SDN 1 Kabar, East Lombok. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ASSURE model, which consists of six stages, namely (Analyze Learner Characteristics), (State Performance Objectives), (Select Methods, Media, and Materials), (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials), (Require Learner Participation), and (Evaluation and Revision). The research subjects consisted of 1 teacher and 20 third-grade students, and the research object was the Valdako media. Data collection instruments included observation sheets, interview guides, preliminary study questionnaires, expert validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and tests. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests, with data analysis using Aiken’s V, percentages, and N-Gain. The data were then analyzed descriptively both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study showed that the media validity level was 0.867 from content experts, which falls into the very valid category, and 0.907 from media experts, also in the very valid category. The practicality level based on teacher responses was 86%, categorized as very practical, and based on student responses, it was 88%, also categorized as very practical. The effectiveness level showed an N-gain score of 0.76, categorized as high, indicating that the media is effective in improving student learning outcomes. The Valdako learning media “visual nature in a box” was proven to be very valid, very practical, and effective for use in IPS learning for Grade III at SDN 1 Kabar, East Lombok.
