<![CDATA[Calligraphy (Khat) education in elementary schools plays a vital role in developing students' Arabic writing skills from an early age, particularly regarding the rules of joining letters (kaidah sambung huruf), which demand simultaneous visual comprehension and fine motor skills. In practice, most fifth-grade students still face difficulties in understanding the conceptual and technical aspects of joining letters. This condition is largely attributed to the dominance of teacher-centered approaches and lecture-based methods, which are deemed insufficient for meeting the learning needs of students at the concrete operational stage. This study aims to describe the implementation of the demonstration method in teaching Khat, specifically focusing on the rules of joining letters in Grade V. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the demonstration method was implemented through three main stages: preparation, demonstration execution, and independent practice. This method had a positive impact on most students' understanding, especially regarding letters with higher structural complexity. Supporting factors identified include students' motivation and enthusiasm, as well as the teacher's consistency in performing demonstrations. Conversely, inhibiting factors include limited instructional media, a lack of individual guidance, and time constraints. The study concludes that the demonstration method is relevant for teaching Khat in Grade V; however, it requires more intensive individual coaching and adequate media support to ensure more equitable learning outcomes for all students.]]>
