<![CDATA[Documentary films are an effective audiovisual medium for conveying information, education, and cultural representation to the public. The Baduy indigenous community has a traditional education system based on life experiences, oral storytelling, and traditional values that are still preserved amid the progress of modernization. This study aims to describe the director’s creative techniques in the production of the documentary “Learning from the Baduy Traditional Land” and to analyze the impact of these creative techniques on the delivery of educational messages and the cultural representation of the Baduy community. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, focusing on the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of the documentary. The results of the study indicate that the director applied creative techniques through an observational approach, the use of natural lighting, visual composition, reflective narration, and the application of audio spatialization to create an immersive audiovisual experience. The application of these techniques effectively strengthened the delivery of educational messages regarding the Baduy community’s educational system and authentically represented local culture through the medium of documentary film.]]>
