This study aims to determine the effect of implementing Powtoon as a learning media on students’ learning motivation in the Informatics subject for twelfth-grade students at SMA Kristen Tunas Gloria Kupang. This research employed a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 37 students divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class was taught using Powtoon-based learning media, while the control class received conventional instruction. The research instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The reliability test results showed a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.968, indicating that the instrument was highly reliable. The results of the study indicate that the use of Powtoon learning media has a significant effect on increasing students’ learning motivation. This is evidenced by a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class compared to the control class. The improvement in learning motivation was analyzed based on motivation indicators proposed by Uno (2017), which include the desire to succeed, learning encouragement and needs, future aspirations, appreciation in learning, engaging learning activities, and a conducive learning environment. All indicators showed improvement and reached a high category after the implementation of Powtoon. The indicators of engaging learning activities and a conducive learning environment showed the highest increase, indicating that Powtoon effectively presents E-Commerce material in a more concrete, attractive, and easily understood manner for students.
