This study aims to increase students' learning motivation by using simple games in the subject of rounders (kasti) in Class VII A at SMPN 13 Banjarbaru. The background of this study is the low motivation of students in physical education learning, especially in the subject of rounders, indicated by the lack of active participation and enthusiasm of students during lessons. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles with 29 students as research subjects. Data collection was carried out using a learning motivation questionnaire consisting of 30 statements covering six indicators: desire and wish to succeed, drive and need for learning, hopes and future aspirations, appreciation in learning, interesting activities in learning, and a conducive learning environment. The Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) for motivation is set at ≥75% (High category). The research results show that in the pre-cycle, the average student learning motivation was 59.43% (Medium category) with 0% of students reaching the KKM. After the implementation of simple game-based learning in Cycle I, the average increased to 72.83% (High category) with 82.8% of students reaching the KKM (24 out of 29 students). In Cycle II, with improvements in the implementation of learning, the average motivation reached 80.18%.
