<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low descriptive text writing skills of third-grade students at SDN 41 Mataram in the Indonesian Language subject. Students experience difficulties in expressing ideas, constructing sentences, choosing vocabulary, and using spelling and punctuation correctly. This study aims to improve descriptive text writing skills through a discussion method assisted by flashcard media. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 28 third-grade students at SDN 41 Mataram. Data were obtained through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with a success indicator of at least 85% of students obtaining a score of ≥70. The results showed that the use of the flashcard-assisted discussion method can improve students' descriptive text writing skills. In the first cycle, student learning completeness reached 71.42%, categorized as good, then increased in the second cycle to 100%, categorized as very good. Thus, the flashcard-assisted discussion method is effective in improving the descriptive text writing skills of third-grade students at SDN 41 Mataram.]]>
