<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the low reading fluency ability of third-grade students at SDN 11 Ampang Padang City. The problems found included inappropriate use of pauses, intonation, and expression in reading as well as low student learning mastery. This study aimed to describe the improvement of students’ reading fluency ability using the Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) Level II model. Quantitative and qualitative approaches were utilized in this study through the implementation of Classroom Action Research. The investigation was conducted through two cycles encompassing the stages of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. The participants comprised a teacher alongside 15 third-grade students of SDN 11 Ampang, Padang City. Observation, testing, and documentation were utilized as the techniques for data acquisition. The results demonstrated that the execution of the ORF Level II model improved students’ reading fluency ability. Students became more fluent in reading through repeated reading exercises and the proper use of pauses, intonation, and expression. Therefore, the Oral Reading Fluency Level II model is efficacious in augmenting elementary school students’ reading fluency ability.Keywords: reading fluency ability, oral reading fluency, elementary school, reading.]]>
