This study seeks to identify tutors competencies for utilizing digital media during equivalency education learning at SKB Kota Serang, identify examine the intenal and external barriers to digital media into learning activities, and examine strategies for tutors professional development in facing digital era learning. This research applied a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving tutors, learners, and administrators at SKB Kota Serang. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings indicated that tutors competencies in utilizing digital media in equivalency education learning at SKB Kota Serang have begun to develop but are not yet optimal. Tutors have utilized several digital media tools such as PowerPoint, learning videos, online conferencing applications, and the internet as learning materials; however, the implementation of digital media is still limited and has not been fully incorporated into instructional planning, implementation, and evaluation. Internal inhibiting factors include limited digital literacy, low self confidence in using technology, and the continued dominance of conventional teaching methods. Meanwhile, external factors include limited learning facilities, technological devices, internet access, and the lack of sustainable technology based training programs. Efforts to develop tutors professionalism have been carried out through self directed learning, discussions among tutors, and internal training activities, although stronger institutional support is still needed. This study concludes that improving tutors competencies in utilizing digital plays a significant role in improving the effectiveness of equivalency education in the digital era. Therefore, continuous training, improvement of facilities and infrastructure, and supportive institutional policies are needed so that tutors can integrate digital media more innovatively and effectively into the learning process.
