<![CDATA[This study aimed to develop a HOTS-Lab-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) to improve students' science process skills on the topic of waves on a string. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. However, the study was limited to the Develop stage. An embedded mixed-method design was applied, in which quantitative data served as the primary data and qualitative data as supporting data. The participants consisted of 32 eleventh-grade students from an Islamic senior high school in Garut Regency. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, pretest-posttest questions, observation sheets, student response questionnaires, teacher practicality questionnaires, and interviews. The results indicated that the developed HOTS-Lab-based LKPD was categorized as valid and practical for use in physics learning. The effectiveness test revealed an improvement in students' science process skills, as indicated by an average N-Gain score of 0.52, which falls into the moderate category. The implementation of the HOTS-Lab-based LKPD assisted by PhET simulations facilitated students in conducting scientific activities such as observing, formulating hypotheses, analyzing data, and communicating experimental results.
